Attendance winners: 4th grade-Mrs. Laughlin's class, 5th grade-Mrs. Hopper's class, and 6th grade-Mrs. Cupp's class.
Our teacher of the week is Mrs. Williams. Mrs. Williams is a dynamic science teacher! She plans fun and interactive science lessons that her students love. She makes the workplace a fun place to be. We are so glad she is FOR the brown and white!




Our OPAA! kitchen crew launched the 12 days of cookies for ALL students! Yesterday was chocolate chip and today was snowball sugar cookies. Everyone is loving them and looking forward to seeing what will be next!










The 6th Grade Academic Team competed in the Upper Elementary Academic Bowl today in Clinton. Came home as District Champions with 1,010 points. Congratulations! #FortheBrownandWhite

Mrs. Jillian Dean visited Mrs. Bruner's class and read her favorite book "Miss Nelson is Missing!" by Harry Allard. She also did a short lesson with the class about appreciating what you have and having respect for yourself and others. She gave each student a bookmark with this quote... "Respect for ourselves guides our morals, respect for others guides our manners." Lawrence Sterne.

Mr. Tony Chauncey visited Mrs. Sanders' class today and introduced the book "My Side of the Mountain" by Jean Craighead George. This is one of the titles 6th graders could choose from the list for the ECIS reading challenge. Mr. Chauncey also discussed the importance of reading in the technology field. We want to give a huge thank you to Mr. Chauncey for taking time out of his busy schedule to be our guest reader and for being #FORtheBrownandWhite! #It'sWhatWeDo #ReadingChallenge



Mrs. Snipes' 6th grade art enrichment class made donut toilet paper sculptures today! They had so much fun!

Mrs. Gilliland's class celebrated with stew and treats before Thanksgiving break! They had a great time.

Mr. Earls' classes have been studying climate zones. They recently completed a project to draw what people would wear in different climate zones during winter. A winner was selected from each class and treated to a drink at Hutchs.


Blake Bustin with GPNB came and read to Mr. Earls' homeroom class and was also bombarded with numerous questions about banking and many other things. It was great to have the support of our community.




Superintendent Sparks came and read to Ms. LeGrand's class! A leader who reads is one that inspires. Thank you Superintendent Sparks for always showing what it means to be FOR The Brown and White!




A special visit from Purcy D. Walker with GPB! He read to Mrs. Burton's students as part of the Elk City Intermediate Reading Challenge. He also lead them in a few popular songs.
