October sure was busy! They had so with their pumpkin book reports, we finished our spooky stories today and even celebrated Halloween with a spooky breakfast and lots of treats throughout the day. I’m so proud of these kids and all their hard work!

Antler Alert: Our teacher of the week is Mrs. Carlucci. She teaches 5th grade English Language Arts. Mrs. Carlucci ensures that all students are engaged in the lesson. She works hard to ensure that all students understand standards to mastery. Thank you Mrs. Carlucci! Our Attendance winners were: 4th grade- Mrs. Laughlin's class 5th grade- Mrs. Sheppard's class 6th grade- Mrs. Cloud's class Our word of the month for October was integrity. Each homeroom teacher picked two students who have demonstrated what it means to have integrity during the month of October (see picture). The prize is a Fall Class Party completely sponsored by our local United Supermarket! Mr. Earls is an exceptional teacher and is so very deserving of this award. Poetry with a Boo! 👻 Mrs. Pollard's ELA classes wrote haunted haikus while setting the scene with candlelight and eerie music. Creativity never looked so chilling!

Mrs. Bruner's Reading classes recently completed Pumpkin Character Book Reports. The students did a phenomenal job on making their character pumpkins, and they also did a fantastic job of presenting their reports.
If you drop off and pick up your child in our car line, please make sure that you are single file and waiting your turn. Sometimes our students get out of their car on the left side and it is not safe for other cars to be pulling around as students are getting out. Also, for the safety of your child, please do not park in the parking spots in the drop off area and have your child walk across. It is a very busy time and we want to ensure that all of our students are safe. Thank you
As the weather is getting colder, please make sure that your child is dressing in warmer clothes. We will still be going outside for recess when the weather is mild, so they need to be dressed appropriately. Also please make sure that they do not bring blankets. If your child needs a winter coat, please let us know and we will get one for them. Thank you

Student Council will be selling Boo Grams from Oct 21-30. Students can purchase these in the morning before 8:00 from student council members outside of Mrs. Cloud's room.
Each 'Boo Gram' is 50 cents. Join in the fun and promote school spirit!
