Intermediate GT students spent Wednesday with our school nurses. They learned about the importance of knowing your blood type, how to perform the Heimlich maneuver, 5th and 6th graders learned how to take blood pressure, and 4th graders listened to each other's heartbeats as they learned how to use a stethoscope. Students also were guided in the process of finding out their blood type with a blood typing kit. Even Mrs. Watkins and Mrs. Williams participated in typing their blood! Thank you to Nurses Lindsey Marks and Brooke Buller for coming and teaching our students. It's what we do! #Learn #Lead #Grow

Tomorrow, April 2nd, PTO will be having a snack sale. All items will be $1.

Mrs. Copeland's Homeroom had the opportunity to experiment with acrylic paint pouring to make one of a kind pieces of art in Mrs. Snipes' Art class. They loved the freedom of making abstract pieces. The first rule from Mrs. Snipes was "Don't think, just create!" Mrs. Watkins and Mrs. Williams even got to participate and loved every moment! Our students and staff are so lucky to have Mrs. Snipes. She has created some outstanding artists from students who believed they weren't artists.

Our new lunch program rolled out today and we had very happy students! It was the topic all day long. Our cafeteria staff was absolutely exceptional and our students got every benefit of that work! Everything was fresh, made from scratch, and delicious! 2 comments heard, “They either had Pizza Hut delivered or got their recipe!” and “You weren’t lying, it really is amazing!”
Our cafeteria manager, Allison, has embraced the change with excitement and enthusiasm! Her leadership is valued more than she will ever know. She and her team always want what is best for kids and they knocked it out of the park today!
It’s great to be in The Brown and White!
