GT students took a field trip to the Oklahoma City Museum of Art on Wednesday. The kids toured the Chihuly Exhibit and learned more about the art of glassblowing. The tour guides were so impressed with the kid's behavior, their knowledge of Chihuly, and how light is used by artists to show depth and dimension in their works. Students studied Chihuly last month during their GT class and were blown away seeing his work in person.

Rhonda Smith with Interlink Mortgage continues to spoil us this year. A little Valentines treat went a long way for our staff this past week! Thank you! It's always a great day to be in The Brown and White!

Our SROs are so valuable to our Intermediate School community. They directly impact our students and staff in the most positive, enthusiastic ways. These 2 support our teachers and administration in ways so many do not see. We could not ask for better people and they will never know (or allow us to tell them) just how much we love and appreciate them. So even though your treat was a day late, Happy SRO Day Officers Chaney and Valencia! We are blessed to have you!
It’s always great to be in The Brown and White!

Don't forget!

Reminder: Spring Picture Day tomorrow!

This week we are celebrating kindness. Each day we have a theme to celebrate being kind and friendly to each other. Please see the attached flyer for each day's theme.

Flashback to a few days ago where we concluded a great week of honoring our school counselors, Mrs. Barnett and Mrs. Jones. The theme of the day was “Friendly Friday” so you could dress like a friend or teacher! We had some who are pictured below do a great job of matching! Also, Antler Alert saw more awards given out. The Mountain Man’s Attendance Award winners for this week:
4th Grade: Mrs. James Class
5th Grade: Mrs. Gilliland’s Class
6th Grade: Mrs. Cloud’s Class
Our One Church Teacher of the Week was Mrs. Cloud. Mrs. Cloud is a phenomenal educator who always has new and improved ways of reaching each student that she comes into contact with. She is also quite the jokester and will never turn down the opportunity to earn a jeans pass! Mrs. Cloud is yet another one of our teachers who wears multiple hats at our site because of all the different committees she is on or in charge of. We are grateful to have educators like Mrs. Cloud at our site who continue to make a difference! Congratulations once again!

Another Friday came and went but not without our site acknowledging the weekly award winners! The Mountain Man's Attendance Award winners were:
4th Grade: Mrs. Dunn's Class
5th Grade: Mrs. Hopper's Class
6th Grade: Mrs. Varnell's Class
Our One Church Teacher of the Week was Mrs. McConnell. Mrs. McConnell is our school librarian but in all honesty is really a Jack of all trades at our site. She has done a tremendous job of completely renovating the library and making it a desirable place that the students want to go to! She also brings the innovation in a multitude of ways, including teaching an enrichment class on Coding. She lends a helping hand with anything that is needed. We are beyond fortunate to have Mrs. McConnell at our site and on our team!

We recently had ECIS Honor Choir members Rylee James and Brylee Murphy participate in the 2024 OkMEA All State Children’s Chorus. They spent 2 1/2 days in Tulsa practicing with 4th-8th grade students from around the state. Pictured is when they performed their concert! We are so proud of them and all their hard work and accomplishments! Also pictured is them with their instructor, Mrs. Tiffany Ragan!

Due to icy conditions, school will be cancelled today. Stay safe and warm!
Another great time of celebration this past week at Antler Alert! The Mountain Man's Attendance Award winners were:
4th Grade: Mrs. Ball’s Class
5th Grade: Mrs. Gilliland's Class
6th Grade: Mrs. Williams’ Class
Our One Church Teacher of the Week was Mrs. Copeland. Mrs Copeland is an outstanding educator that is always looking for new and innovative ways to reach her math students. She holds her students to high expectations and doesn’t waver from that commitment. She wears multiple hats at our site because of all the different committees she is on or in charge of. We are so thankful to have Mrs. Copeland on our ECIS team! Congratulations one again!
