Mrs. Sanders' has been teaching protagonist, antagonist, major and minor characters, dynamic characters and many more elements. To ensure mastery, the students got to create their own video game character and give it a story! It was incredible to watch them light up with excitement! What an amazing way to teach skills to mastery while allowing students to be creative and actually have fun learning!

Mrs. Cupp's class was rocking a choice board focusing on the mastery of capitalization and punctuation along with other skills! Her students were engaged on a variety of things and she was hooked up with small groups.

Reminder that tomorrow, September 5, is picture day!
Mrs. Hopper and Mrs. Sheppard had some balloon racing to go along with their Physical Science standards this week! The students were able to share a lot of information about different particles of matter, the amount of air in the balloons vs the results, and explain/chart the outcomes. The One Church Teacher of the Week is Mrs. Varnell! Mrs. Varnell has been an incredible addition to our staff here! The students love her class as she builds strong relationships and keeps everyone constantly engaged! She has displayed choice boards as well as other interactive activities that keep the kids attentive and on task! We are so thankful to have Mrs. Varnell as part of our team here at ECIS! Our campus recently received some new playground equipment for the 4th grade playground! Very thankful for everyone who helped play a part in making this happen! And there is still more to come!
