A few more pictures from our GT trip to iFLY! It was a great day to be in The Brown and White!

4th, 5th, and 6th grade GT students spent Thursday learning about Bernoulli's Principle and Newton's 1st and 3rd Laws of Motion and how they explain how an airplane can take off and maintain lift during flight. They made models to demonstrate how lift works and how Bernoulli's Principle can keep a ping pong ball floating in preparation for their field trip to iFly on Friday.

4th, 5th, and 6th grade students spent the day in OKC at iFly learning about the principles skydiving. Each student rotated through stations that taught about drag and wind resistance by building parachutes, different STEM careers, and then how drag and lift were used to skydive. Each student had the opportunity to do a one minute simulated skydive. There was lots of anxiety and excitement that ended with the kids having an amazing minute in the simulator.

We are thankful that the Lyric Theater made the trip out here and delivered a great performance for our students! The story of Cinderella reminded the students of the different parts that go into storytelling, but in a fun and interactive way! Some were even able to be part of the show!
