A November to remember at ECIS! We have much to be thankful for during this season. We are thankful for our Honor Choir and Mrs. Ragan for the fantastic job they did performing at the Veterans Day Assembly! We are also thankful for our school SRO's and Officer Valencia for leading our 5th grade D.A.R.E curriculum! They celebrated a graduation to end the program! Sonic Drinks supplied by Rhonda Smith and Interlinc Mortgage! We also had our latest Antler Alert. It showcased our 6th grade students and their creativity with balloons as they gave us a preview of the Macy's Day Parade! 4th Grade Math IXL Winners: Raylie Young and Linkyn Brown Mountain Man's Attendance Award winners: 4th Grade: Mrs. Dunn's class 5th Grade: Mrs. Hoppers class 6th Grade: Mrs. Williams class The One Church Teacher of the Week was Coach Varnell! Coach Varnell is making sure students understand how important their health is. He has engaging lessons and constantly has students thinking of how they can be healthier. He connects with every student on campus and is always willing to help when needed. Congratulations once again to Coach Varnell!

Congratulations to Mrs. Cloud for winning the POE grocery card! Recognizing and supporting our educators is always appreciated! It's always great to be in "The Brown and White!"

*Attention Parents of 5th Grade* Our 5th graders will be having their D.A.R.E (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) graduation this Wednesday, November 20th, at 9:30 in the pioneer center. We would enjoy seeing you there!

Mrs. Allen has been such a welcomed addition to our site this year. She goes above and beyond to help all those she comes into contact with. She also steps up and fills a need anytime she sees one. We are grateful she is at ECIS! Congrats Mrs. Allen!

Student Council sponsored a canned food drive this last week at ECIS. Between all three grades we collected a total of 383 cans! 4th grade winners for bringing the most were: Phoenix Dixon, Emory Merz, and Rowan Morrison 5th grade winners for bringing the most were: Owen Lenius, Kamri Bortell, and Kathryn Givens 6th grade winners for bringing the most were: Vaneza Reyes, Aubree Williams, and Lennox Maddox 5th grade was the overall grade winner as they collected 180 of the 383 total! What You Do Matters!

Congratulations to Intermediate School Cafeteria Manager, Allison Kauk, for placing 2nd in the bulletin board contest during National School Lunch Week! Allison works incredibly hard to make our cafeteria a welcoming and fun place for all of our students each day. We are so proud of her and all she does for our kids! Kicking off Red Ribbon and Halloween week with a throwback to last week! We had 4th Grade IXL winners: Riya Patel & Daleyza Acosta Endurance Federal Credit Union had sponsored a pumpkin art drawing competition a few weeks back. The 2nd Place winner ended up being 6th Grader Elizabeth Snyder! Mountain Man's Attendance Award Winners: 4th Grade: Mrs. James' class 5th Grade: Ms. Sanders/Mrs. Burton's class 6th Grade: Mrs. Cloud's class The One Church Teacher of the Week was Mrs. Sanders. She has made our campus better the minute she stepped foot on it. She is consistently leading engaging lessons. She allows data to shape her instruction and makes sure all students are growing. She is a wealth of knowledge that we are fortunate to have with us at ECIS! Congrats once again to Mrs. Sanders!

A recap of last week! We had 4th Grade IXL winners: Riya Patel & Caleb Cook We also had Endurance Federal Credit Union that sponsored a pumpkin art drawing competition. The 1st Place winner was 6th Grader Zoey Lemus! Mountain Man's Attendance Award Winners: 4th Grade: Mrs. Bruner's class 5th Grade: Mr. Hickey's class 6th Grade: Mr. Earls class The One Church Teacher of the Week was Mrs. Ball. We are so fortunate that Mrs. Ball joined our team last year. She does so many different things and keeps her classroom lively as a result! There is never a time to be bored because there is always something fun going on! She makes writing enjoyable to the students and incorporates a vast number of redirects to ensure that the students stay on task. The students adore her, evident by the fact that they all hopped in to take the picture with her. Congrats once again to Mrs. Ball!

Unity Day!! Coming to a campus near you tomorrow!!

There was so much to celebrate last week at ECIS! First we celebrated 5th Grade IXL winners for ELA: Andre Foster & Anik Patel We were then able to honor the September and October Lions Cubs of the Month: Julian Syribouth & Halle Shockey (September) Gatlin Brittain & Serenity Miller (October) We recognized members of the 4th grade youth football team as well as the 5th/6th grade team. They both have had outstanding seasons thus far! Also, the latest Mountain Man award winners for attendance: 4th Grade: Mrs. Dunn's class 5th Grade: Ms. Soto's class 6th Grade: Mrs. Pollard's class The One Church Staff of the Week was our custodians! October 2nd was National Custodians Day and we were so glad that we could recognize them. Mrs. Dolores, Mrs. Daniella and Mrs. Gloria are the absolute best! They work so hard for ALL of our students and teachers. They take care of us and make sure our campus is always so well maintained. Thank you once again and congratulations! *A reminder that Wednesday is early dismissal and then it is FALL BREAK!

HUGE Thank You to Endurance Federal Credit Union for catering a Rib Crib baked potato bar for all of our teachers on parent teacher conference night. It was delicious and VERY appreciated! It's great to be in The Brown & White!

Mrs. Page is a foundational piece of what we have here at ECIS. She provides a multitude of services at our campus and always remains flexible! The students benefit greatly from all the different ways in which she teaches them on a daily basis. She also ensures that all of our students show grow!
