Yesterday we celebrated our Character Trait of the Month award winners during Rise and Shine. Our character trait focus for the month of February was DELIGHTFUL. A special thank you to our local White Buffalo coffee shop. Each character trait recipient receives a goody bag filled with a free drink coupon and other goodies. Our students ❤️ this! Great to be in "The Brown & White"

Elk City Elementary will be celebrating Read Across America day, Friday, March 1st in our pajamas.


Elementary Springtime Dress Code Reminder: Spring is on its way, and along with that comes some warmer weather. It’s still Oklahoma, though, so please remember to send a (labeled) jacket for those cool mornings. Shorts 🩳 and dresses must not be shorter than $1 bill’s width from the bottom of the hem to the top of the knee. Shirts may not have spaghetti straps. Shoes for grades PK-3rd must have closed toes and closed heels (no sandals or flip-flops please).

Mrs. Miller’s class is learning about reptiles this week. They were so excited that Mrs. Trotter’s Kinder class allowed them to borrow their class pet to observe its traits! 🦎 It's what we do, #lead #learn #grow










Subitizing is the ability to instantly recognize the number of objects without actually counting them. (For example, seeing 3 dots on a die and knowing there are three.) Mrs. Ellis's PreK class is subitizing and practicing number identification 1-6 with a fun Roll and Color game. It's what we do! #lead #learn #grow
