Antler Alert: We are so excited to start our Antler Alerts for the year and recognize our classes with excellent attendance as well as our outstanding teachers. Our classes that have had the best attendance since the beginning of school are Mrs. Bruner's class, Mrs. Carlucci's class, and Mrs. Melissa Williams's class. Our teacher of the week is Mrs. Burton. She teaches 5th grade math. Mrs. Burton is passionate about teaching. She ensures that her students are on task. She uses data to drive her instruction and builds caring relationships with students that create a learning environment where students feel safe and valued. There is no doubt that Mrs. Burton is For the BROWN and WHITE!

Elk City Public Schools will begin an early release at 2:15 for the Elementary and High School sites. Both sites will be without air conditioning due to a power surge. The power surge has also taken down our phone lines. The Middle School and intermediate both have air conditioning. Students may be picked up early at all sites. Any Elementary student that cannot be picked up early will be bussed to the Susan Powell Auditorium beginning at 3:00 pm.The Susan Powell Auditorium is air conditioned. Parents will pick up there after 3:00 pm. Elementary students only. Regular bus riders will go home as usual. No students will be left unattended or in hot classrooms. Phone lines are down across the district.

NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT (2026–2027 SCHOOL YEAR)
Who: Only for students who did not attend Elk City Public Schools last year (new to the district).
When: August 5, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Where: Elk City High School
Details: Covers all grade levels PreK - 12; representatives from every school site will be on hand to help enroll your child.
What to Bring / Prepare
Student's birth certificate
Student's current immunization record
Parent/guardian proof of residency (e.g., utility bill, lease agreement, or mortgage statement within the past 60 days)
Questions or online pre-registration support through Elk City Public Schools or call the district office at (580) 225-0175
RETURNING students do not attend. We will update when RETURNING student enrollment opens.
