All ECHS students will attend the musical production department's performance of Annie this Friday morning. All students need to bring $1 for admission. First hour teachers will collect the money before attending the performance.

Elk City Juniors and Seniors had the chance to attend the Elk City Education Expo last week hosted by Elk City Chamber of Commerce. The students visited with different colleges and career techs as well as got advice on FASFA. Watching these students look into their future is so much fun. Five scholarships were awarded to seniors that were present at the Expo! Thank you for having us! It was a great day to be a part of the Brown and White!

Our new Emergency Medical Responder class had a special treat today when ECFD paramedic and EMR instructor Demerie Chervenka surprised them with a freshly harvested bovine heart and respiratory system to dissect. City medical director and longtime Elk City physician, Dr. Dennis Friesen, was also on hand to instruct students. Students in this program aspire to start a career in the medical field, and ECHS is grateful for the partnership with ECFD that enables us to offer such a dynamic, hands on learning experience. Elk City High School is proud to announce our 2024-25 Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Michele Sparks! Mrs. Sparks is in her 4th year at ECHS and teaches special education. Mrs. Sparks works diligently to help her students excel in math, and her calm, patient presence makes her classroom a wonderful place to learn. Congratulations, Mrs. Sparks! It's great to be in "the Brown and White!"

In keeping with brown and white tradition, many ECHS student leaders started their holiday break by helping fill and deliver Christmas baskets for Elk City families bright and early this morning. Tonight!! 6-8 pm!!! We will have the Oklahoma State Regents available in our commons area for you and your student to come work on the FAFSA application! You can ask any questions AT ALL you might have about FASFA and learn the best ways to get funding for your student in their future. Please come for the whole time or just stop by! I promise they can help with anything regarding Federal Aide much more than I can! 🤎📚🎓

Seniors!!! Tomorrow is a big day! The ASVAB will be given tomorrow for those that signed up to take it starting at 8:30 am! Please be to Mrs. Phillips office by 8:15 am with your chrome book! If you don't know if you signed up, please check your email for the list of students! Also, tomorrow evening from 6-8 pm in the commons we will have FAFSA night for any and everyone wanting guidance and help on the FAFSA! The Oklahoma State Regents will be here at these times to answer any questions and guide those who need it! Please make sure student and whoever is financially responsible for student show up to the meeting if you are wanting any guidance or have any questions. Please refer to prior posts about what to bring to the meeting. REMINDER - the FAFSA IS a graduation requirement starting this year with the class of 2025!
