Interested in taking concurrent next year? 

There are TWO mandatory meetings — but you only attend ONE depending on your current status. 

 🎓 CURRENT CONCURRENT STUDENTS (JUNIORS ONLY 2027) (Must currently be in a concurrent class) 

 📅 March 4th OR March 5th 

⏰ 11:30 a.m. (Starts promptly — not come & go) 

📍 Library 

 Bring: 

✔️ Chromebook 

✔️ Parent/guardian email (written & verified) ✔️ Idea of classes you want 

 Enrollment will be completed during this meeting. 

 📚 NEW CONCURRENT STUDENTS (Upcoming Juniors (2028) & Seniors (2027) NOT currently enrolled in concurrent)

 📅 Thursday, March 5th

 ⏰ 5:30 p.m. 

📍 Commons Area

 🚨 Parent/Guardian REQUIRED 🚨

Student must bring: 

✔️ Chromebook or computer 

 You will: 

• Apply to the school of your choosing

• Enroll in courses 

 You will need: 

• Social Security Number 

• Transcript (provided at meeting if signed up in office ahead of time) 

• ACT score (provided at meeting if signed up in office ahead of time)

 👉 A sign-up sheet is in the office for NEW concurrent students so transcripts & ACT scores can be printed and ready.

💡 It is strongly advised to complete BOTH the application and enrollment during this meeting. Students who leave early often struggle to finish independently, and individual follow-up time is limited. 

 🏫 IMPORTANT 

 • SWOSU concurrent courses will be the primary focus (professors teach on our campus).

 • Students may choose ANY accredited institution. 

• If choosing another school, bring required paperwork or be prepared to stay a little longer while being assisted through that institution’s process. A LOT of detailed information will be shared — especially during the parent/guardian meeting — including expectations, costs, policy, and procedures.  

📋 DISTRICT QUALIFICATIONS 

SENIORS: 

• Meet college entrance requirements (typically 20 ACT OR 3.0 GPA & top 50% rank) • No excessive absences 

• On track for graduation 

 JUNIORS: • Meet college entrance requirements 

• 3.5 GPA AND top 25% rank

• No excessive absences 

• On track for graduation

 If planning to take concurrent next fall — make arrangements to attend the appropriate meeting and come prepared.

The memorial service for ECHS senior Chaston Adams will be held at Elk City High School on Tuesday, September 2 at 2:00. The family welcomes ECHS students to attend if they would like.

If you would like your student to be able to attend, please have them pick up a permission form at the front office. Forms will be due back by Tuesday, September 2 at noon in order for a student to be permitted to attend.

On Tuesday, all Elk City High School students will be dismissed for the day at 1:30. All parent pick up for this day only will be at the front entrance of the high school on the east side of the building. Supervision will be available for students who need to wait on a bus for transportation. Buses will run at their normal time. All other ECPS schools will remain on a normal schedule for the day.
