Mrs. Hulen's Kindergarten class compared numbers in math today. They compared the number of legs on bug and animal manipulatives.🐞🕷️
It's what we do! #lead #learn #grow

Mrs. Carnahan's class works with manipulatives to practice spelling words! And also, working to earn karate belts with our Multiplication Kick It Challenge! These 4 kiddos earned their white belt and their yellow belt!

Mrs. Gilliland's PreK class had lots of fun on our first visit to Arrowhead! 🤸 🛝 🤸

Starting a little something called our FOR awards. Students and teachers will be recognized periodically for their contributions and constant mindset of being FOR the Brown and White. Today's praise came via Sonic drinks for our incredible Pre-K Assistant Team (Fierro, Misner, Cook, Kelley, Ruiz, & Poole). They work hand in hand with our Pre-K teachers and are tirelessly striving to do what's best FOR our littles. Thank you for making a difference and making that difference every day!

A reminder for this upcoming Thursday! Early Release along with P/T Conferences.

Thank you, Arrowhead Center, for letting Pre-K come to play. What a fun Friday! #lead #learn #grow with ECE

Mrs. Horton's class beat the teacher this week with behavior 🤩 They got to bring blankets and stuffed animals to make forts while we watched a movie 🤎🤍 Great job being Pax leaders! #LeadLearnGrow

Very thankful for Mrs. Suzanne Walker and the OREA! They recently presented a check to Ms. Clarissa Haven, which will undoubtedly help with all her expenses as a first year educator!
What You Do Matters!

Pre-K has a whole lot of learning goin' on! For some of us, it's the first time to use scissors (they are ONLY for paper!) and glue. We celebrate turning 4 years old, we share, build blocks and new friendships. It's what we do! #lead #learn #grow

🟫⬜️ August Adventures at ECE! We have had a lot going on since school kicked off. We absolutely love to see our teachers and students hard at work, but also having fun! Here are a few snapshots into the life of our students 🟤⚪️

Picture day will be here before we know it! September 18th 📸

Just a reminder that we are out of school this upcoming Friday and Monday for Labor Day Break! We hope all of our students enjoy a great rodeo weekend!

We have already started a collection of items such as jackets, gloves, etc for lost and found. With the colder weather arriving please make sure to put your child's name on their jackets/cold weather gear. Thank you!

Parents please be mindful of our teachers as they are navigating the lines to get to their parking. We appreciate your cooperation. Thank you!
Labor Day weekend will be here before we know it and ECE is ready for a rodeo! Please see the flyer for our dress up day!

📣 The First Day of School is Almost Here!
We are so excited to welcome all our students back this Wednesday!
Please review the attached map for important drop-off and pick-up information.
A Few Important Reminders:
⭐ Drop-Off Locations: All parents/guardians must use the designated drop-off areas shown on the map. The front office entrance is reserved for bus drop-off only for safety reasons—no parent drop-offs here, please.
⭐ Stay in Your Vehicle: During both drop-off and pick-up, parents/guardians should remain inside their vehicles. This helps us keep traffic moving efficiently while safely dismissing over 700 students in a short amount of time.
⭐ Car Tags Required: You must display your car tag when picking up your child in the dismissal lanes. Please keep it visible until your child is safely inside your vehicle.
Thank you for helping us keep arrival and dismissal safe and efficient for everyone!

Elk City Public Schools would like to address a social media post currently going around making untrue claims about curriculum that will be utilized by Elk City Public Schools for the upcoming school year. The curriculum being shared is not the curriculum adapted for Oklahoma. Nor, is it the curriculum we will be using with our students.
